Sunny.
I have no idea what this post is going to be about, because at this point in time, my mind is like a blank sheet. I realized how little I’ve been blogging these days – mainly due to the beginning of the new semester. New classes to attend, new friends to make, new schedules to get used to, and new targets to set for the academic year. I was so tired of university stuff that I typed out this long post about how Kpop idols do not represent the entire Korean Music Industry (in response to a blog post that my friend wrote – which was offensive for a fangirl like me), but I realized I was rambling and I deleted the post.
There are so many pent up feelings in me right now. I really hate how judgmental people can be, just from reading news articles. Not saying that the girl was lying about her experience, but there are always two sides to a coin. Everyone is just jumping to her defense because of her “troubled times” in another country, trying to make a break in her music career. Let’s think about it from this angle: The country is known to be a country full of “plastic addicts”. Keeping this in mind, one should have been well prepared to receive plastic surgery offers offered because let’s face it – you’re auditioning to be an idol, an all idols are perfect looking. If you were so caught up on the fact that you had to undergo plastic surgery, why did you choose to be a trainee in a culture that believes that plastic surgery is normal and common? With your talent, you could have made it big in your home country, yet you chose to take a leap of faith and venture to a country with a totally different culture from Singapore. Admirable, but…why? You could have been the next breakout Youtube star like Marié Digby.

I’m tired of listening to all the bullsh*t that people come up with. Goodbye Internet, for now.
